Hey everyone!
Quick little post here…
There have been some changes at Voice123 that I wanted to share with you.
Voice123 is now compatible with mobile devices. Instead of building a native application for Android or iOS, we are using the latest technology to make our site compatible with the standards for HTML5.
So, a few months ago we replaced the old fashioned PayPal button on the talent profile page, with ones that have a much sleeker design. We are now working on replacing all of the players that are Flash based, for a new version in HTML5. You have probably already noticed the changes!
Most browsers support HTML5. If your browser does not support HTML5, using Flash Player will still work.
We are also aiming at creating a new graphic design that makes our site easier to navigate on smaller screens (phones or tablets).
Of course, more changes are on the way. Just wanted to keep everyone updated!

Does this mean we can load up auditions from ipad to Voice123? This is a real problem.

I’ll have to check this out….. functionality on the iPhone had been weak at best.
So this could be huge news! Thanks….
On another front….. have you ever considered changing the feedback language to something more positive, even when the client’s not interested?
In other words, the categories could be:
You’re a finalist!
You’re being considered! (this covers “Maybe” as well, right?)
You’re not quite right for this project. (which covers “Not Likely” and “You Won’t be Considered)
Other_____ (which someone can check or fill in with specifics if they want)
The current language of:
“You won’t be considered” is awfully harsh and it could mean a hundred things, like:
-you sound like my ex-wife
-your skills are not up to par
-your studio doesn’t sound professional
-we changed our mind and wanted someone of the opposite sex
-the typos in your note were a turn off
-we already found the perfect voice
-the project has been cancelled
-your sound/interpretation didn’t match what we had in mind
-and so on…..
Just a thought…..

@Marc – I agree!
@Steph – Yes, it does. However, we had a few glitches last night but they are being fixed right now!
@Debbie-I definitely appreciate the comments about the ranking system. Believe it or not, the rankings have been re-worded at least 3 times. The five rankings all have different meanings. Please read my blog about this topic here http://voicethedream.com/2012/12/10/what-do-those-rankings-really-mean/
