Have you ever looked at the Voice123 Project Directory? It shows a list of all SmartCast voiceover jobs posted since 2007, as well as, the old “leads” posted from 2004-2007.
Taking a look at this today for 2012, we noticed Voice123 is still growing and bringing in more voiceover work!
- In 2011, there were 14,531 SmartCast voiceover jobs posted.
- So far, in 2012, with two weeks remaining, there have been 15,951 posted!
- See for yourself on the Voice123 project directory!
This does not take into account all the work that comes via direct invite to voice talent. Voice seekers will search our database, usually for those voice talent who fulfill a certain need that is difficult to find online. For example, voices outside of English, or children. We usually have between 500 – 750 of those a month. Voice seekers can also directly invite voice talent without posting a job, so it helps to have a Voice123 profile.
We plan on continuing to grow for 2013, the year of the color emerald green. We will have more news about this shortly!
Thanks so much for being a part of Voice123! Voice seekers come back more and more because they can count on your professional voiceover services!

So far, in 2012, with two weeks remaining, there have been 15,951 posted! Posted 15,951 and some change. That sounds great! How many voice artists were cast and paid via voice 123′s services? That’s the bottom line. Dave.

Actually the bottom line is how each individual is doing, and “why” clients come back.
It’s easy to assume that “if I dont get work…there must be an issue with this number”.
Surveys from voice talent show that 65-68% of premium voice talent book at least one job a month.
10%-13%: book 5 or more
Above 13% to 65% varies from 2 to 4.
So think about this…Voice123 has had 4200 voice talent for about 5 years.
The jobs keep increasing year to year.
Jobs would not increase if no one was getting hired.
Basically, the best thing you can do for your bottom line, is check out your competition because they don’t owe it to anyone, including us, to tell us how much they make or book.
It would be great to look at that 15,951 and say “Well, not all of them were booked on the site.”, and you would be correct, but remember…
Seekers can save people who audition for them, so there is lots of job traffic neither you or I see, but I hear about from people telling me. This number only represents the total amount of jobs posted using SmartCast.
